D.C. Martial Arts Academies offer the best instruction in Tae Kwon Do for the entire family. Open 6 days per week, the Academies focus on building confidence, strength, concentration, coordination, discipline, and respect for others.

Led by top-ranked instructors, the D.C. Martial Arts Academies have produced more than 300 Black Belts since the original Academy in Bethesda was founded in 1994. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Bethesda and Gaithersburg, the Academies offer a terrific after-school alternative to conventional team sports and provide a unique opportunity for parents to participate in a fitness-building activity with their children.

D.C. Martial Arts Academies focus on your child's academic progress, too. Instructors require the submission of students' report cards and encourage good study habits. Students must have an "A" average to test for their Black Belts, and many students have improved their academic performance after enrolling at the Academies.

For adults, the benefits of taking Tae Kwon Do are varied; they include weight loss and toning, improving overall fitness and coordination, building self-defense skills, stress management, and meeting new people who share similar goals.
